School Wide Positive Behavior System
(SWPBS)
East Cheatham has implemented a Positive Behavior system. This system involves two types of rewards for outstanding behavior.
First, each class has the opportunity to earn Dragon rewards. They are earned when an entire class exemplifies outstanding behavior anywhere on the school grounds. This includes, walking in the halls, bathroom, lunch, special class - anywhere the entire class is and is doing what they should do. A class must earn enough dragons to spell out EXPECT SUCCESS. When this goal is reached, the teacher will choose the reward.
Second, each individual student has a chance to earn ticket rewards. All employees in the building may give out tickets to any student in the building who exemplifies outstanding behavior. Students may earn tickets at any time. Any student earning 5 tickets in a two week period will receive a reward. All students earning tickets will have their name entered in a drawing for a BIG prize at the end of each 9 weeks. Each ticket earned is placed in the drawing. This means that the more tickets a student has, the better chance at winning the BIG prize! A student must be present on reward day and drawing day to redeem the reward/prizes. There are no make-up reward/prize days.
